U-17 National Team

This program was a follow up to the U-16 which was held here in Belize in 2007. The team trained from August - November. This team was placed in the Belmopan Football Association 1St Division Competition and did very well, up until its departure for Panama the team was winning all its games.

The U-17 National Team traveled to Panama for the elimination series with Panama and Honduras. This was held in Penonome, Panama.

This team was coached by Mr. Kent Gabourel, advisors Mr. Renan Couoh and Physical Trainer, Mr. Luis Cabrera.

It was an interesting trip as most of our players had not been on a plane before: this in itself was an excitement. The visit to the Panama Canal was and will always be memorable in the eyes of these players. They not only played football, but they also studied history, geography and social studies, thanks to the National Team Development Program.

U-20 National Team

The U-20 National Team was put together in July 2008. The players were identified from 2007. On Vt August 2008 Mr. Renan Couoh was hired to train this team. He had six weeks to work.

The team traveled to Guatemala to participate in the U-20 Championship Group B for the Central American UNCAF Region. This group involved the following Guatemala, El Salvador, Belizeand Panama.
