As can be noted the Referees Commission was very active in 2007. Emphasis has been placed on Refereeing. Mr. David Jones, Executive Vice President is the President of the FFB Referees Committee.
The Chairman of the Football Federation of Belize Referees Committee was established in April 2007. Belize match officials participated in the UNCAF Champion of
Champion Tournament in the first and second leg. Gerald Henry officiated the match between Real Esteli and Motagua in Nicaragua in the first leg. He was involved as the fourth official for both games in the second leg since Mr. Williams was not available. All match officials, except Mr. Daniel Catzim, on the FIFA List of International Assistant Referees participated in the second leg (home games) of our local teams.
Mr. Gerald Henry left Belize enroute to the CONCACAF U-17 Finals in Tijuana, Mexico. We wish him well. Mr. David Jones and Josue Rivera returned from a Futsal Referee Instruction Course held in San Jose, Costa Rica.
