Belize defeated Geneda 3-0 in in St. George's, Grenada af the Grenada National Stadium. The goals are as follows: Deon McCaulay(11') Harrison Roches (35') Deon McCaulay (89').The FFB has received clearance from CONCACAF to play its home game on 6th September, 2011 against Guatemala at the FFB Field in Belmopan. This is an accomplishment for the FFB because there were many obstacles to play this game here. Remember FIFA determines where you play.
The Belize National Team leaves for Grenada to play on the 2nd September, 2011 and returns on the 4th September, 2011 to play here on the 6th September, 2011at 4:00 p.m. against Guatemala. Tickets will be sold at $30.00 before the game. No tickets will be sold at the gate. Come early to support the National Team.
The FFB has received notice from FIFA that the Government of Belize will leave the FFB to do its work without interference from GOB. In a spirit of sports, the FFB signed a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Ministry of Sports which basically guarantees the autonomy of the FFB.
